As founders of Charis Creations, Krista and Monique both have Celiac Sprue Disease and Lactose Intolerance (Monique has an egg sensitivity as well). Our common allergies and our love of baking, creativity, and food led us to move forward with our business to help others in their search for great tasting gluten free foods!
"Charis" (pronounced "khar-iss") is the Greek word for Grace, which we thought was an appropriate name to use to represent what we stand for. Without God's Grace and Mercy, we would be lost and desolate. Instead, God has redeemed us through His Son, Jesus Christ, and has blessed us with the Gift of Salvation.
It is the mission of Charis Creations to share the gift of nourishment with those who are struggling with allergy sensitive diets. We know how hard it is showing up to a gathering and not being able to eat almost everything being served, or going out to a restaurant and finding it nerve-racking trying to order something off their menu.
Although we can not change what public establishments are offering on their menus, we can offer you tips of foods you CAN eat, and ideas of what to cook or bake within the comfort of your own home.

OUR FAITH
"And God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.' And it was so." ~Genesis 1:11
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. God also created vegetation and provided foods for us to eat.
With all the genetic modifications, processing and chemicals added and used in foods and production, it's no wonder our bodies are having so many reactions to it! The Lord told us how to till the land and commanded us that after 7 years we were to let the land rest. In order to keep up with the ever growing population and food needs all over the world, we have not held to God's plan. Monique and I believe we are feeling the effects of such things now in the way our bodies react to certain foods and in some of the diseases and ailments we experience.
Now, this is not to say that gluten sensitivity is a complete result of every single modification made to food, BUT we feel it does play a part. So, we've decided to take it back to basics and work on discovering ways of cooking and ingredients to use that will best fit the needs of our food allergy customers.
